Generational Trauma

From generation to generation, descendants of Armenian Genocide survivors have been exposed to traumatic stories their family members have lived through. Sara, Diana, Mari and Jennie have all known about the genocide since a young age and although the genocide is over, the trauma continues to be passed from one generation to another. The trauma of the genocide is continously passed to future generations due to many reasons such as the recent recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the United States and the denial behind the genocide. Many other reasons exist and each woman has shown that the generational trauma continues to exist.
